Data regarding sales of insulating materials in Europe place Italy among last positions. In recent years there have been some improvements that increase our hope for the future. The Gas and Electricity Authority has helped increase the insulation in buildings; furthermore the ministerial decree of 24th April 2001 imposes the minimum thermal parameters in order to improve energy efficiency in the country. Nowadays the building market is evolving tanks to a better awareness of Energy efficiency and environmental benefits.

The thermal comfort is based on many factors: only an accurate design can assure their equilibrium. It is necessary to consider air temperature in the rooms, dampness ratio, air velocity and radiating temperature (temperature related to surfaces). In fact comfort perception often depends on the radiating temperature: for example, if the temperature of walls is too low, people next to them will not feel at ease, even if the temperature in the room is uniform.
To solve this problem a proper insulation is needed to raise temperature of walls. This solution avoids any loss of heat from indoor to outdoor; at the same time we rationalize Energy consumption and we respect environment. A house designer must take care of two important aspects: climate control and protection from noises, to ensure energy saving and comfort of inhabitants. In order to obtain an optimal level of comfort, the building must ensure a good heat insulation. As a result, choice of materials is fundamental.
A thermal insulator must have many features: longevity, safety, suitability for use:
• longevity: the material must last as long as the masonry or the wood on which it is installed lasts;
• safety: in case of fire the material should hinder its propagation as much as possible;
• suitability for use: the most requested features are:
- the density of the insulating material (weight per unit volume) : in fact, thermal resistance is inversely proportional to density;
- permeability to steam: roofs must not be a place for steam condense. To avoid this problem it is fundamental to choose the insulators carefully and properly. The market offers many possibilities, for example transpiring or impermeable ones. Only the “Glaser Test”, done by technicians, can help choose the most suitable material.
The most suitable material for heat insulation is SYNTHERIZED POLYSTYRENE FOAM, because it presents all features above mentioned.
In order to ensure thermal and acoustic COMFORT, our company offers to designers a wide range of products; afterwards these products must be carefully carried out.
To solve the problem of insulation and thermal comfort RE.PACK offers: LASTRE ISOLANTI e SISTEMA COMPLETO PER L’ISOLAMENTO TERMICO A CAPPOTTO.
